Alisha Marie Northington aka Ms. Alisha -Marie was born in Livingston, NJ and presently resides in Red Bank, NJ.Alisha is a member of Calvary Baptist Church Red Bank, NJ where her father is the Senior Pastor. She started singing on the Children’s Choir at age 4. Alisha is also a member of the Praise and Worship Ministry, which provides devotions for her home church services and churches throughout the state.Jesus Christ has been Alisha’s Lord and Savior since she was seven years old. Following her confession of faith her father baptized her by immersion. She affectionately states, “I have been given the gift of singing to give glory and praise to God.†Alisha has experienced many medical challenges since birth but she is always available to encourage others who are down. She often receives requests to sing and willingly does so whenever she is able. She has used her gift from God to minister in song at numerous community services and events. A few of these services include: the Martin Luther King Community programs sponsored by the “Count the Children’s Movement†Red Bank, the First Baptist Church of Asbury Park, NJ Youth Choir, to benefit housing programs in Mexico, and the Red Bank Regional high school 2003 Aids Benefit. Alisha sang for the RBR Concert Choir from 2000-2004 and was a member of the Vocal Performing Arts program. During her junior year she and another student re-organized the school Gospel choir. She was president of this multi-cultural choir whose express purpose is to motivate and encourage students to serve and praise God. She also performed at a Talent Expo sponsored by the Monmouth County Alumnae Chapter Delta Sigma Theta Inc. in May, 2005. Most recently she performed at the 17th Annual Breakfast Celebrating the Life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. sponsored by the YMCA of Western Monmouth County in January 2006. She also accompanies her father during many of his preaching engagements.She recently sang at the Heart and Soul Gospel Extravaganzaa in Long Branch,NJ.She also was involved in a gospel group called Jason Rogers and Agape Love and traveled many places spreading the word of God....
