About Me

THE LEGEND OF FALLING ROCK Jeremy and John met back in '93ish while working at a grocery store in Fort Collins. They became friends and found out they had music in common. For years they played in John's basement, sometimes bringing in musicians (never panning out). Then Bryan who they both knew for about as long joined in '99ish and we had Jeremy on vocals, with John and Bryan mostly playing guitar. John also plays keyboard and bass guitar as well as occasional backup vocals. Bryan also picks up the Bass and hits some backup vocals too. Jeremy plays a bit of guitar/keyboards. We played like this for many years recording frequently on multi-track analog equipment. John D. entered the picture in '05 and picked up our stuff quick. We recorded what we call "Session 2" on 09.21.05 and this was John D's second time hearing our music. We also recorded some songs at one practice and it is now referred to as "Alive Again". The song 'Alive Again' has a common theme but is mostly adlib (especially lyrically), we play it according to the feel of the night. John D. no longer plays with us (he got married), so we're looking for a drummer as good or better than him, plus we could use a full time bassist (notice the lack of bass on our profile songs?). John is the main songwriter, but Jeremy and Bryan pitch in too. We have 10 -12 original songs and play one or two covers (Jeremy finally got his wish of a "Doors" cover, "Hyacinth House"). The above songs are scratch track, raw recordings and rough so minor profanities exist, raw is good and portrays creativity.. We have played several open mic nights successfully along with private parties. Even from the beginning our music got air play in several cities with the help of friends of the band. The reviews are always good. We get together to play as much as life allows, get a bit twisted and make music. Let us know what you think. In our humble opinion, if we had a good studio and even 4-5 hours each week, we could write a lot more songs and go further as a band. Too bad we all have other commitments. We are still open to the life of rock stardom, and all that comes with it (just in case a big producer is reading this and wants to front us so we can quit everything else...it's possible!). But we are happy just finding time to get together and jam, music is good for the soul, as you know. Falling Rock
