I formed my first band, "The Dirt Surfers," in Fresno, CA in 1992. The band started as a trio, Ted Cromwell(drums), Todd Draper(bass), and me(guitar), that played mainly instrumental surf covers. A few months later we added a second guitarist, Steve Carter. We had a lot of fun playing the few gigs we got. In 1994 I moved to Fullerton, CA and the band broke up, but Steve then formed The Neptunes which are still playing today. While in Fullerton, I joined a band called Wally, Marc Juon(guitar/vocals), Carlo Velasquez(percussion/vocals), Matt Brown(bass), and me(guitar). The music was indie rock influenced and like before we all had a great time. The band dissolved after Matt disappeared. Marc and Carlo still play in a band called Ole which seems to be having moderate success. Fast forward to Fresno 2001 and i find myself playing surf music again. Steve and The Neptunes had a brief hiatus and the next thing you know I get a call asking if I want to play bass for Shaken Stephen. From here we created The C(h)oral Dukes. We had fun and released one CD "The (h) Is Silent... But Deadly." If you would like a copy let me know. I have been kicking around the idea of releasing another Dukes CD with live cuts. 2003, Steve rejoins The Neptunes and The C(h)oral Dukes split. From here I continue to do a bit more recording, but soon make less and less time to play. It's now 2005 and I am happy to have a great little boy, Jimmy. I have stopped doing 2 of my jobs and continue to work as the video director at our local AAA baseball stadium. With more time at home I am starting a video production business. So if you want to shoot a music video or something let me know. I am also finding more time to play music and may even start playing some acoustic stuff with Steve.
