Hello

About Me

Me? I hike.

My Interests

Meeting people, a good conversation, learning, taking photos, hiking, boating, cities, forests, trees, nice people, sassy girls, film making and digital shorts, Shakespeare, politics, girls in white dresses and blue satin sashes, CNN, aeroplanes, traveling, theatre, playwriting, stream-of-consciousness, poetry, Bob Dylan, musicals, acting, dancing, guitar, performing, movies, sextalk, benches, peoplewatching

I'd like to meet:

Bob Dylan, Woody Allen, Kurt Vonnegut, Tenzin Gyatzo, Cate Blanchett, Daniel Day-Lewis.

Music:

Anything that suits my current mood, Aimee Mann, Al Green, Antonio Vivaldi, Beach Boys, Beastie Boys, The Beatles, Bjork, Blind Melon, Bob Marley, Bob Seger, Cat Stevens, Coldplay, The Cranberries, Cream, The Cure, David Bowie, The Doors, ELO, Elton John, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Eric Clapton, Leo Delibes, Ludwig van, Hall and Oates Indigo Girls, Pink Martini, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash, Jon Brion, Led Zeppelin, Les Miserables, Modest Mouse, Wolfgang Amadeus, The Moldy Peaches, Nico, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Oingo Boingo, The Police, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Sublime, U2, Wilson Simonal, Elvis, Michael Jackson and a whole lot more. I usually find an appreciation for almost all artists and forms of music. My interest in the current mainstream has diminished a bit, though. Too bad. missing 90s music. They seem like classics already.

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Paths of Glory, Barry Lyndon, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, Empire of the Sun, Reservoir Dogs, You and Me and Everyone We Know, Fight Club, City of God, The Raging Bull, The Constant Gardener, LEON the Professional, Three Kings, Great Expectations, Lawrence of Arabia, The Bridge on the River Kwai, Seven Samurai, Ran, I heart Huckabees, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Sound of Music, Fargo, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Casablanca, Some Like It Hot, Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, The English Patient, Fight Club, Goodfellas. No, I'm not just naming all the movies I know. I freaking love all of these. They are my top 35.

Television:

I don't have cable at home, sadly. So I guess it's the Today Show in the morning, and Conan at night.

Books:

Slaughter House-Five, The Catcher in the Rye, Johnny Got His Gun, Hamlet, Ishmael, El Alquimista, El Hombre de La Mancha

Heroes:

Mohandas Gandhi
