We are a group of people in Springfield MO that have decided we need to set out and make a difference. The mission of our project is to help erase hunger one brown bag at a time. The city of Springfield MO has over 600 homeless people who are often ignored and shunned. We have decided that with a little of our time and some donations we can come together and help to feed our hungry. This project is in the beginning stages and could greatly benefit from any suggestions that anyone interested may have. The goal of our project right now is to put together "bags" of food and distribute them to the needy in our area. The bags possibly could contain a PB&J sandwich along with granola bars, peanut butter crackers, canned fruits and puddings, bottled water ect. In short, whatever we can get donated or purchase at a reasonable price. We will be going to where the homeless are and distributing them to people as often as we can get the supplies, hopefully several times a week. We are modeling our project after "The Burrito Project". We are non-political, non-religious, and non-judgmental
