DeMario KenTray Faulkner was born in Memphis, TN on January 18, 1984 to the proud parents of Tracy Ester and Earnest Faulkner Jr. DeMario has had a passion for music since his toddler years. He began putting his dreams into motion after high school with his former classmate and friend, Dewayne Wilson. In 2002 they formed the dynamic duo known as Image under the management of Mario’s cousin Hubert A. Mays “Preacherâ€. The duo immediately began performing around Memphis at such events as The Ultimate Battle of the Bands, area middle and high schools, talent shows and several other events. The team also walked away with 1st place in the K97 talent show at Denim and Diamond in 2003. Also, they had the opportunity to meet Boyz II Men, Master P and Ginuwine. After hanging out with Ginuwine, he suggested they form a four man group. DK and DJ were introduced to Terrance Henderson (T Love) and Curtis Moore (C Luv) by a local producer by the name of Terry Harris. Together the four caused major pandemonium throughout the mid-south and surrounding areas. The group received media publicity by performing on two local news stations in Memphis and being featured in the Tri-State Defender newspaper. In 2005, the group opened up for Pretty Ricky and D4L at the Cannon Center in Memphis which was their last major performance. In 2006, the group decided to go there separate ways. At the end of 2007, DK decided it was time to put his dream back in motion. Not only does he write and produce but he is a classically trained pianist and very gifted on the drums.
