Nikola

Nikola is one of the best hungarian house dj & producer.
He's a professional DJ, Producer & Remixer and he's working with major labels such as Defected, Strictly Rhythm, MN2S, Ministry of Sound and Kingdom Kome Cuts! He did remixes for D.O.N.S, DBN, Daley Padley, Patric La Funk, Baggi Begovic, Thomas Gold, Soulsearcher, Tom Novy and Paul Thomas just to name a few... his tracks are played & supported by many famous dj's.
His passion for house music started when he was about 11 years old, at that age he saw a DJ mixing for the first time. He was so fascinated that he also started. His first gigs started during his school years, after school he changed his mind and became a producer.
Over the past few years he’s played in countries such as Florida (Miami), Spain, Germany, Bulgaria, Albania, Poland and Hungary … performing and entertaining fans with his unique style! The audience likes him a lot. He takes his job very seriously, and his main goal is to provide the highest quality musical performance towards his guests and to make every night unforgettable and exclusive.He plays the latest dance music from sexy vocal-house to nasty tech-house.
INTERVIEW
You're on steam nowadays. What do you think of people calling you 'the new deadmau5'?
Nikola: It's always nice to get that kind of reaction, I admire him for his good music, but it was Hy2rogen who introduced me with that style. He tought me how to do it and now we have our own unique style. So if people wanna call me something, call me "Rocketman"!
What releases and/or remixes should we be expecting from you in the near future? A sneaky peak?
Nikola: That would be.. A LOT! But one of my big ones is my remix of 'Daley Padley - Tigerstyle' (together with Mannel), which will be released on 1Trax, a sisterlabel of Mn2S.
D.O.N.S asked me to remix three of his upcoming tracks and I've been also remixing "Patric La Funk-Self Control", which will rock the clubs! A lot more of me is coming, so stay tuned!
Technology is changing and improving all the time, what are your production weapons of choice at the moment? Mac/PC, software/hardware?
Nikola: I'm currently using a PC with the programs Fruity Studio, Acid, but
I've bought a Macbook Pro, so I'm now learning how to use Logic.
Probably I will produce better when having full control over Logic. ;)
The Hungarian scene is not very known in the Western world, help us get these things straight:
- Is it true about Hungarian men; are they drinking all kinds of dubious licours to get drunk as fast and cheap as they can?
Nikola: I can't speak for all the Hungarian people, but me and my friends know how to drink =:)
- Is it true about Hungarian women; are they all beautiful, tall, blonde and great in bed?
Nikola: I think Hungarian women aren't all like that, i don't know where you got that, so the answer to your question is no !But my girlfriend has blonde hair, and she's good in the...... =:)
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Nikola: In Ibiza as a resident, but of course i have to work a lot to reach this.
If the choice was yours, who would you make a track with?
Nikola: Definitely with Axwell and with the DBN guys !!
