BIOGRAFIA/ABOUT ME
Nata a Udine il 24 settembre 1977 inizia a sette anni lo studio del pianoforte da privatista, che interromperà nel 1991. Nel 2002 si laurea in Interpretazione di conferenza presso la Scuola Superiore di Lingue Moderne per Interpreti e Traduttori (lingue: inglese, olandese, francese). Parla correntemente anche lo spagnolo ed il tedesco. Nel gennaio 2004 incontra Sabrina Roman, insegnante di canto e tecnica vocale e comincia quasi per gioco lo studio della voce e delle sue potenzialità. Partendo da un repertorio pop giunge al jazz e allo swing, passando anche per la bossanova. Nel 2007 conosce Mauro Costantini (pianista e compositore jazz - http://www.maurocostantini.it/) e inizia ad approfondire lo studio dell’interpretazione jazz e bossanova, accompagnandosi anche con il pianoforte. Nello stesso anno si iscrive alla Scuola di Process Counseling (http://www.spcformazione.it/) per approfondire le tematiche relative all’ascolto, allo sviluppo delle potenzialità e all’espressione del Sé. Nel 2008 nasce il Duo Piano & Voice “Alessandro Scolz & Irene Dolzani”, ribattezzato poi "Jazz&More Duo". Si tratta di un genere vicino al piano bar, ma orientato principalmente al jazz, allo swing, alla bossanova e al pop d’autore italiano e straniero, riarrangiato spesso in chiave jazz/swing/bossa. Il repertorio è vasto e adatto ad atmosfere soft e raffinate (degustazioni, aperitivi, cene) e può accompagnare gradevolmente anche eventi quali feste di matrimonio. Nello stesso anno approfondisce lo studio dell’interpretazione jazz e in particolare dell’improvvisazione con Lorena Favot (http://www.myspace.com/lorenafavot ). Nel 2008 vince la 21a edizione di Percoto Canta con "Baciami Piccina", popolarissima canzone degli anni 40 riproposta con "stile, ironia e coraggio " (Marco Maria Tosolini, Il Gazzettino). Nel 2008 conosce il pianista Rudy Fantin ed inizia ad approfondire con lui uno studio più prettamente musicale dei diversi brani.
Nel giugno 2008 nasce da una collaborazione il trio Jazz&More (Irene Dolzani - voce, Alessandro Scolz - tastiera, Alessio Benedetti - batteria e percussioni) che presenta un repertorio simile a quello del duo ma con il carattere della batteria e delle percussioni.
Irene was born in 1977. She began learning to play the piano when she was 7 years old. She stopped in 1991. In 2002 she took a degree at the Interpreters and Translators School, University of Trieste (Conference Interpreting). She studied English, Dutch, French. She also speaks Spanish and German. In January 2004 she met Sabrina Roman, singing and vocal technique teacher. With Sabrina Irene begins to learn about her voice and its potential. The repertoire included at the beginning only pop music (both Italian and international) but it soon went towards jazz, swing and bossanova. In 2007 she met Mauro Costantini (jazz pianist and composer – http://www.maurocostantini.it/) and began to deal with jazz and bossanova interpretation. Also she restarted to play the piano. In the same year she was admitted to the Process Counseling School (http://www.spcformazione.it/) and started to learn listening skills, human potential development and real self expression. In 2008 the “Alessandro Scolz & Irene Dolzani Duo” was born, which became later the "Jazz&More Duo". Alessandro and Irene play easy listening music (jazz, swing, bossanova, pop). The repertoire is considerable and refined (suitable for wine tasting events, dinners, wedding parties). In the same year she starts studying jazz improvisation with Lorena Favot, jazz singer (http://www.myspace.com/lorenafavot ). In 2008 she wins the singing contest "Percoto Canta" with the song "Baciami Piccina", a very popular swing song from the 40's. In 2008 she met the pianist Rudy Fantin and began to study with him the musical structure of the various tracks.
In June 2008 the Jazz&More Trio was born from an occasional collaboration. It is made up of three elements, Irene Dolzani - voice, Alessandro Scolz - piano, Alessio Benedetti - drums and percussions. The repertoire is very similar to the duo one. The drums and percussions add a particular strong feel.
