young and underpaid. so joe b at work was surprised that i was well versed in the hippity-hoppity. guess i'm not your run-of-the-mill, trendy, pop-music loving, gum-chewing, boy-crazy white girl.
the kids at the bar, they call me map girl because i am a gis nerd. but now i am in map-world, so i guess i can't realy claim the title anymore....eh, f*ck em.
i really like maps. but i also like music and movies. i enjoy going to a good show and dancing until i can't stand up any more.
i like camping and hiking and backpacking and seeing the wonders of nature. i like complaining about the state of things in the world, but more than that I enjoy brainstorming ways to make it better.
so i guess that makes me a hippie. whatever.
oh. i like cheese too.
and i'm a bit random.
everyone thought i was crazy for wanting to hang out in utah for a week, but it's southern utah, which is abbey's country, canyon country, desert, rocks, and big skies. i have plenty of pictures, i've posted a few here, but it takes a while for them to upload, so i got bored (that's the a.d.d...) and quit. i'll keep working on it.
my best friend is my water bottle, which i have affectionately named 'gene, after the best character in WHAS. seriously, though, i can't go anywhere without the damn thing. they even let me bring it into the bar (as long as i have a drink in the other hand). i keep thinkin' that i've lost him, but it turns out i stuck him in the dishwasher while i was intoxicated the night before. reliable ole 'gene... turns out the dishwasher was the end of that gene. its sole enemy; there is no other way to kill a gene. so i got a new one, green this time.
so if you want to talk maps or photography or politics or music, i'm always ready for a worthy exchange. but all you silly sluts can just stay the f*&% away. thank you.
