Hi! I am glex, Jens Tonnet, born and raised in Leuven, Belgium. I am a dj since 2004.
First I began to spin with digital stuff like with the DJ console from Hercules(MKII), now I have some hardware (BX-14 Rodec, Denon D-4000, Gemini XL 500).
At the age of 17 I became more active as a dj. I started playing resident at online radio’s ( glex.be / http://www.tgsradio.com ) but afterwards I had the possibility to spin more on the grounds of “Leuvenâ€. My connection with electro/club music took my dj career a few steps further, the bookings started to roll.
Summer '07 I had my first international gig at nikibeach( http://www.nikkibeach.com ) in Portimao, Portugal. This was a life-time experience and a learning period where i had the chance to upgrade my dj skills.
I am now 18 years old and still studying at college. In KHLeuven I would like to upgrade my marketing/communication skills. And afterwards, yeah, what the future brings me!
As I like online DJ-ing, I spoke to TGSradio.com and they took me in to their team. At my website http://www.glex.be you can hear me or other guest djs live from my homestudio.
Since 1 March 2008 you will also be able to hear me live at a radiostream. I am co-owning the radiostation and we hope to get more and more dj's to be involved in this project! (Dj? take a look at slurpyradio.com ).
Summer '08: Together with deejay veni we are launching a new project in Belgium. The project name is until now unknown, but we try to involve old djembe (percussion) music into the modern electronical en commercial music. If you scroll down, you can see a movie of me playing the drums and with veni behind the decks.
