About Me

Golden Down's Frater Iehi Aour (IHI AVR = "Let there be light") was recognized as an Adeptus Minor in the Golden Dawn by the age of 23. He was the first teacher of practical magic to the famed Aleister Crowley. Later in Burma he became a Buddhist monk, taking the name of Bhikku Ananda Metteyya ("bliss of loving kindness"). The name was appropriate for him because he was a particularly compassionate individual. Allan Bennett founded the first International Buddhist Society in 1903.
