Currently, I am recording my new CD in the CaBle Cubby, at last!. It will be out by the end of the year, hopefully. I am still choosing tracks from my original material, which is quite extensive. A couple of my favourite covers I had to add....but every song on this album has a special meaning to me. I will add more tracks here as they are mixed. My career in pics ..I have had a very full life in the music business, having started singing seriously at the age of fourteen, when my dreams of becoming a ballerina became unaffordable. It was the era of Bandstand and the Johnny O'Keefe Show, Cliff Richard & The Shadows...followed by the surfing craze and the Beatles' arrival on the scene, and I still believe there was no better era of music than the sixties! I remember singing with the Corsairs at our church dances on a Friday night in the days when it was safe to walk home. By seventeen I was working in a dance band and also doing the club circuit as a performer on shows such as The Jimmy Little Show etc., and continued performing, and touring, until the seventies, when I released my first single record...HANDLE ME WITH LOVE / THE SAME OLD STORY on the Emertone label (Produced by Bob Turner....R.I.P.) both self-penned and both of which made the final nominations for the Tamworth Golden Guitar awards. By this time I had moved to Cairns, and became a regular spot artist at THE HOUSE ON THE HILL as well as working with my band PATCH around the traps, until I met my husband Bill Goodall at his gig at the local footie club, and we have been a team ever since. After many years of working the North Qld circuit with our bands....COUNTRY BREEZE and RAILROAD JUNCTION we moved back to Sydney and became BILLY HAZE & CAZNA, where we worked as a duo for nine years, as well as with our band FOGGY ROAD, and put together a full Revue Show also, which was great fun. (Hi Rob the Roadie.) We had great success with our single BIG BLACK MACK / THORNS UPON THE ROSE during this time, so we began writing more material in our 'spare time', putting together a few albums plus some for other artists as well. Due to family committments, we decided to move back to Cairns in 1991, where we formed a latin-ish band with our children, Troy and Sherrin, called FANDANGO, before deciding to once again become a country duo calling ourselves AMBUSH, and worked around the club circuit in the North until 2000 when surgery forced me to 'quit the 4-hour gigs. We began to produce during this time with our first 'baby' on our CaBle label being Wendy Coppo's CD....COP IT SWEET. After a few years of session work and doing backup vocals / MC for 'FRIENDS OF COUNTRY' nights in Cairns, we put THE GOODALL REVUE show together featuring son Troy and our youngest daughter Brenda. And then......we built our own studio... the CaBle Cubby... and continued producing.....and haven't stopped. Now at last I am working on my first 'solo' album and I am so excited to have control of the arrangements and the production of my own original songs. Because we have to fit our own recording in between our 'work', I am hoping to finish & release it soon. I will keep you informed.....
