Photography, scrapbooking and now dabbling in photoshop.
Anne Geddes and spend a day being mentored by her. Riverside-based photographer Doug McCulloh. I read an article about him in The Press-Enterprise.
That hot photographer, Nigel on "America's Next Top Model."
Al Gore, after watching "An Inconvenient Truth". Recycle peoples!
Please enjoy my sister in law and niece's debut music video, "Don't Cha"! I guarantee it will make your day a little brighter! ;)80's music, followed closely by 90's music. Stuff I can sing along to. Madonna is still one of my all time favorites! I also like Disney tunes since the whole family can sing along. Hakunamatata! I'm not ashamed to admit that I actually LIKE Britney Spears. We own every one of her CDs. I like her music, I just don't agree with her drama mama behavior. Hopefully she'll get some help...and make yet another CD for our enjoyment.
I'm a dork, what can I say? I love "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2". My girls and I watch it and love to dance and sing along! "Erin Brockovich" because it happened near Barstow. I love the scene where they show a Desert Dispatch newspaper holder next to the mailbox since I used to work for them. "Memoirs of a Geisha" because it was interesting to learn about their world. "Heaven on Earth" because there's a scene where the Vietnamese lady goes to an American grocery store for the first time and it totally reminds me of my own mother when we first arrived in the U.S.A. "Come See the Paradise" for bringing to light the sadness and suffering of the Japanese Americans that were forced to leave their homes to live in internment camps during the war. "The Joy Luck Club" is Chinese, but there were a lot of similarities with the Japanese culture. "The Notebook", "Shindler's List", "The Pianist" and "Black Hawk Down" were sad but GREAT movies. I love almost any movie with Robin Williams. "What Dreams May Come" is my favorite. I am also a big fan of any voiceovers he does for animated movies. Another all time favorite would be "Forrest Gump". Looking back, I guess movies that made me cry (sad and/or happy) have left the biggest impression on me. Then again, Hallmark commercials can make me cry, too. ;) I liked "Picture Perfect" with Jennifer Aniston and "Fools Rush In" was cute. "Grease" is a movie I could watch over and over. As for children's movies, "Lion King" and "Monsters Inc." Chanel resembled "Boo" when she was that age and babbled just like her.
Right now, my favorite show is "The Biggest Loser" since there's a local gal on there that we're rooting for. GO BRITTNEY! Michaela and I are both addicted to "The Hills". Wife Swap so I can hear a fellow Kubasaki Alumni, John, narrate the show! Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover-Home Edition, Brothers and Sisters, DIY Scrapbooking, American Idol. (Although Kelly will always be my favorite!) I'm so sad Friends ended, but it was a GREAT ending! Dateline's "To Catch a Predator" series. Very informative! Chris Hansen is awesome! There are shows that I "end up" watching because Tony will be watching it and I'll keep glancing over from whatever I'm doing at the time. "Seconds from Disaster", "How It's Made" and "Million Dollar Listing".
I love to read but I can't seem to squeeze it into my busy schedule as much as I'd like to. I'm lucky if I can at least flip through my scrapbook magazine subsription every month! Last year, I enjoyed a Dr. Laura book, "Chicken Soup for the Scrapbooker's Soul" and "The Kitchen God's Wife" by Amy Tan. Every night I read to Chanel for bedtime. Our favorites authors are Dr. Seuss and Mercer Mayer. Michaela and I have a little 'book club' just for us. We read the same book and then talk about it. We read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The book is WAY better than the movie...but then again it normally works out that way. We also read The Second Summer of the Sisterhood and Girls In Pants-The Third Summer of the Sisterhood. I've finished reading the Fourth Summer but Michaela is still working on it. We are currently reading a book by Amy Tan.
My hubby says it's him. =) And I'd have to agree! I'm one lucky gal to have found him!
