A Glimpse Into My LifeEvery poem I write
Every song I compose
Every note I play
Hides within it a piece of my soul
Only those who share the gift of insight
Can truly comprehend the depth of these words I write
I write what I feel
In turn I feel what I write
As my pen slides across the paper
My true feelings come to life
Feelings trapped within me
Are suddenly set loose
Yet some still don't see the truth
For someone who holds it all in
It's hard to let it all out to an individual
An individual who can't see past the physical
Into the spiritual aspects of this man
And therefore they can't understand
Why it's so critical that I be lyrical
My lyrics define my life
Love, loss, disappointment
It's all laid out in what I write
My heart is my inspiration
With it comes no limitation
My spirit is my guide
And my mind is where each thought abides
When you read what I write
You're taking a glimpse into my life
