About Me

I'm a mother of three teenage girls, a writer, a perennial college student, and I have been a teacher in different ways to all ages-I prefer working with teenagers! When they feel heard and communication is honest and open...there's nothing like it. I love to work in theatre; in my heart I'm an actor but I'll do anything to be a part of it! I used to be a drummer and probably still could be if I had some sticks-and I was once in the army, on the bomb squad which is better known as Explosive Ordnance Disposal. *This means I know how to blow stuff up* But mostly I'm a writer, traveling life to pick up more material for my brain to mix in, swirl around, and spill out into literary form. Visit my blog for a sample! The greatest challenge I've faced yet is the bipolar disorder in my oldest daughter. She's been bipolar since the age of twelve-it's a roller coaster for all of us, but challenges and surprises are the spices of life. And to make my life even more spicy, very rich, and anything but simple, I have recently discovered the love of my life. His name is Thomas and he is an amazing writer in his own right...take a look at his profile on my "friends" space, then do yourself a favor and check out the writing in HIS blog!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

BILLY JOEL-his songwriting talent (he pours so much of himself into these words) combined with phenomenal music-writing skill are what has created the Billy-worshipping monster in me!Also Barack Obama, my newest hero. AND if only I could: William Faulkner. The man was a master storyteller who poured the essence of himself into every single word he produced. He was down-home Southern bred and so are his novels. He took "write what you know" and turned it into literary gold.

My Blog

I'M BAAACK!!!

Twice Posted: The Human Factor

Yesterday I was in Target. I wandered over to the book section first-what's a visit to Target without wandering over to the book section-and I noticed two "children's" books sitting on a rack: Barack ...
