"Tales of the Okefenokee" is a collection of six songs that are free for the taking- download them, load them on your iPod, burn a CD, send them to your friends. . . they're yours. Just don't use them commercially without my permission. ********OKEFENOKEE (OH-kee-fuh-NOH-kee)-- a swamp in south Georgia that serves as a setting for the Uncle Remus tales of B'rer Rabbit and his associates. *******"Tales of the Okefenokee" was a "dark ride" at a theme park I went to as a child in the middle 1970s. Passengers rode in boats through the "swamp" and saw animated tableaus of Old South scenes populated by rabbits, bears, foxes, and crows. It only very loosely replicated some B'rer Rabbit tales. These recordings are a vague recollection of this loose interpretation through my nine-year-old eyes and middle-aged memory.
