The moment TomTom's passion
for Caribbean music erupted was when him first time got
hold of a dancehall mix tape as a youth at the age of
thirteen. Convinced by the force of expression in the
conscious
lyrics of reggae and the bass loaded and tuneful rhythms, the
trigger was pulled and he finally turned him back on
former beloved music genres like hip hop or d'n'b. Being sick of
listening to premixed conscious and dancehall mix tapes,
him decided fi run deh ting by him own.. ,a selector was born’
