In often cases band’s tend to try and make their biographies glorify them and try to make themselves seem much more important then they actually are. This group does not claim to be anything it is not, there is no grand design, no campaign, the music is not pre-meditated or planned out anywhere beyond the thought that goes into it the moment a song is written , this is simply just an outlet for five motherfuckers who love to play music. Destroyed Days, started as a semi-serious project between three friends, quickly progressed and took on a whole new life.Transforming from a three piece that jammed whenever it was possible, to a well oiled music machine, the guys have taken the time and crafted what has become something that demands a listener’s attention. The music is heavy and aggressive, mixing technical precision and memorable choruses with flourishes of spacey ambience and atmospherics, changing direction almost instantaneous, there are many peaks and valleys, but more then anything, the music is genuinely heartfelt and always passionate. The band’s musical influences are about as broad as their personal taste’s in music, pulling inspiration from styles ranging from punk and all forms of metal, all the way to hip hop and even merengue. The line up as it stands today consists of Lyndsay Saunders (Guitars), Jon Wilson(Bass),Adrian Tellez (Lead Vocals), Oscar Gamero (Drums), and Atom Shatner (Guitars, Vocals). Each individual brings their own personal style to the frontlines, Adrian is the singer every band wants, thrown him any style and he can slay it, he can scream his fuckin head off, and is able to turn it around and sing melodically, almost operatic in a sense. Lyndsay has shredding riffs and high pitched ear-piercing squeals running through his veins, he’s like Dime’s bastard child.Jon is a melodic bassist,he loves to be locked in the pocket with the drums, which makes for a face kicking foundation for a song, Oscar is latin trained, tight, almost mathematic in his writing, he constantly has rhythms running through his head, and has had the itch to play heavier music for entirely too long, and Atom has an endless arsenal of ambience, and brings a crushing anthemic feel to the music. Together they are relentless in their song writing capabilities, they are aggressive enough to move a crowd, and somehow find a way to stay vivacious and have a lot of damn fun playing together. This band has not set out to change the world, as fucked up as it already is, we intend to bare our creative product, and hope that there are many out there who will identify with it. Our attitude is to have no attitude, have no ego, we are a small animal among the beast that is the music industry, we just want to destroy some stages and give some musical hard-ons along the wayI made this myspace background at BackgroundStation.com
