Stormdaisy were a short lived band at the beginning of the nineties, consisting of frontman/singer/songwriter Gunther Van Passel and guitarist and co-writer Koen Renders.
During their existence they had different line ups, of which drummer Freek Boey, lead guitarist Herman Acke and bassplayer Jesse Jansens were the most important members.
Though very young (barely 18), Gunther was an impressive singer and had great songwriting talents. Stormdaisy made fast progress and were about to start recording their first album for EMI records under the lead of producer Dirk Blanchart.
When on July 12th 1991, Gunther died in an accident during a walk in the French Alps, the Stormdaisy story was over.
The remaining members Koen, Freek and Herman changed their name to Ivan's Land and recorded an album in 1994 for EMI Belgium, featuring a few Stormdaisy songs. After Ivan's Land split up, Koen and Herman went on as Spencer the Rover.
This Myspace page and the Stormdaisy Archives are made by former Stormdaisy members and relatives of Gunther in his memory.
We hope you enjoy the music and spread the word.
