We're excited about this growing network in Minot! We are a group of young professionals, ages 21-39, living and working in Minot and the surrounding areas. We believe in what this city has to offer and our future looks bright. We believe in making Minot a fun place to live and work and encourage you to join us. If you have any ideas while we grow this network, let us know. We want to engage young people in Minot.
Our Mission: Creating social and business networking opportunities and community enhancement projects for young professionals in the Minot area.
The YPN consists of 6 core groups. You may join any number of groups...whatever your interest is! Or you can just come to our events and enjoy the expierence!
Ambassador Team
Chair: Jessica Ackerman, Ackerman-Estvold Engineering
Co-Chair: Candace Brekke, iNet Technologies/Odney Advertising
The Ambassador Team, through education and outreach, links businesses, the Minot community, and new YPN members into the YPN. They shall plan events and outreach activities that will further connect new YPN members, businesses, and the Minot community into the YP network. Responsibilities of Ambassador Team members shall also include helping to plan and participate in events that welcome new members into the YPN.
Ambassadors are encouraged to bring a new member to each monthly New Member Breakfast and/or After 5's.
Entrepreneurship Team:
Chair: Jason Jensen, Bremer Bank
Co-Chair: Fred Beuchler, First Western Bank & Trust
The Entrepreneurship Team shall inspire entrepreneurial spirit within YPN members and the Minot community.
Professional Development Team:
Chair: Alecia Berg, Prime Retail Group
Co-Chair: Carla Williams, Trinity Health
The Professional Development Team shall promote the professional success of YPN members. The Professional Development Team shall seek to connect YPN members to opportunities that will further enhance their learning, leadership skills, career development, personal and professional growth. The Professional Development Team shall create professional growth opportunities for YPN members that contribute to their career successes by addressing the unique challenges they face. The Professional Development Team shall connect YPN members to professional development opportunities, create business networking opportunities, and expose them to a broad range of community issues.
Service Team:
Chair: Kausha Bakk, Prudential Preferred Properties

The Service Team shall partner with organizations that provide for the needs of the Minot community. These partnerships shall allow the Service Team to deliver service opportunities to the YPN. The Service Team shall make a difference in the Minot community and in the lives of its citizens.
Social Team:
Chair: Michelle Boyeff, Minot Public Schools
Co-Chair: Emily Rodacker, Minot Daily News
The Social Team shall create environments in which YPN members can socialize while expanding and diversifying their networks. The Social Team shall continually strive to instill energy, fun, and enthusiasm into the YPN. The Social Team shall welcome individuals new to the Minot community by providing them the opportunity to “get plugged in†to the community.
Community Links Team:
Chair: Scott Louser, Prudential Preferred Properties
Co-Chair: DelRae Zimmerman, Prudential Preferred Properties
Community Links will seek opportunities to build ties between the business community and other entities that have a stake in the business community. Specifically, we will initially focus on how YP can help enhance Minot State University’s Vision 2013 by creating relationships and awareness through proposed activities jointly with key members of the University administration and marketing departments. We also will include the University Young Professionals in the Community Links team.
These individual Chairs and Co-Chairs make up the 2008 Leadership Team, along with our current President Jarid Lundeen - Tires Plus, Vice-President Scott Louser - Prudential Preferred Properties and Marketing Chair Candace Brekke - iNet Technologies/Odney Advertising.
