Taxit is a rock group from Denmark. The band was founded in 2005 by Anders Hegaard, Claus R.J, Henrik R.J and Søren R.J. All were very young, but they all had several years of music experience. At that time, the band was just meant to be some cosy after school thing, but the boys was getting along together really great, so after a few month, they started to get a little bit more serious.About a half year later, Claus decided to switch to his favourite instrument, the guitar, so a new bass player was needed. The band settled with a friend, Søren Holm. It went well, and the teenagers all under the age of 16, had build up a repertoire with over 35 cover songs by Clapton, Rolling Stones, Ac/Dc, Chuck Berry and other bands/artist in the same genre. Taxit started to play several places, and was fast known as skilled musicians around their local area.
In the year of 2007, Taxit were still rocking and rolling. They were getting more experience, and getting more into the business of music. Therefore, they decided to quit playing cover music. Anders Heegaard and Søren R.J, composed the first Taxit single, The Midnight Train. After the finish of that song, more and more singles were made. Anders and Søren were the main composers of the band, but once in a while, bass player Søren Holm joined in with his 5 cents.
2008 was getting close, and the Beach Party Band Battle was to start in January. Taxit entered the own music category. The first battle was against Saelive, who played experimental music. Taxit won the evening with a 2-1 victory, and were through to the semi-finals. The judges agreed that the five young kids had a lot of potential. In the second first semi-final Taxit were to face the extremely skilled musicians from Exhume Yourself. Taxit got the audiences vote, but the two judges picked the death metal band Exhume Yoursel, cause’ they were more technical skilled and had more experience on stage. Taxit accepted it, and were happy that they as the youngest band ever, had made progress to the semi-finals.
At the time writing, Taxit have have finished their new demo, and is now concentrating on making more music, and playing more great gigs!
