Creamfields Central Europe 2008
Creamfields Festival was established in Liverpool in 1998 and during 10 years of its existence it became one of the biggest festivals in the UK – together with Glastonbury, Reading and V Festival. It is also the most important dance event in the UK and each year it attracts around 40,000 people. Each festival edition has 8–10 stages which present a wide range of artists – both legends and the most recent names from the electronic scene all over the world. At the same time the most significant British club trademarks are presented here, Subliminal Sessions, Hed Kandi, Chibuku, Pacha, Bugged Out!, Global Underground, Hacienda, Beatdown, Frantic & Nukleuz and Sunday Best – just to name a few.
The biggest live concert stage every year presents the most famous electronic bands like The Prodigy, Massive Attack, Faithless, Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Goldfrapp, as well as the guitar bands like Zutones, Placebo, Primal Scream, Scissor Sisters and many more.
From 2000 on the Creamfields Festival has also successfully expanded into many other places – South America, Poland, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic and Belgium. With 60,000 visitors Creamfields Argentina became the biggest dance festival on the South American continent.
Creamfields Festival expands limits in music perception in a new direction and becomes a distinctive phenomenon for hundreds of thousands of young people.
In the Czech Republic the festival took place 3 times and became one of the most important music events on the Czech scene. After 4 years break Creamfields comes back and this time to South Moravia – to the Breclav airport. The town of Breclav is an important traffic junction. It is close to the borders of four countries and it is easily accessible from Prague (250 km), Bratislava (90 km), Vienna (110 km) and Budapest (260 km). Although Creamfields Central Europe is dedicated to audience mostly from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary, it is estimated that thousands of fans from other European countries will arrive too.
