Man arrested in Swatara Township shooting by FRANK COZZOLI, Of The Patriot-News Thursday August 07, 2008, 10:55 AMA Harrisburg man has been charged in a July 27 shooting at an apartment on Kempton Avenue in Swatara Township, township police said today.Joey Woodward, 24, of the 200 block of South 19th Street, was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, persons not to possess a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license, police said.Woodward was placed in Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail to await a preliminary hearing before District Judge Michael Smith.The charges stem from a 12:30 a.m. incident in which another 24-year-old Harrisburg man was shot in the arm during a verbal confrontation that escalated, police saidHowever, police said the assault count does not involve the man who was wounded, but another man who was shot at during the dispute.Woodward was developed as a suspect from interviews with witnesses who came forward, police said..The investigation remains under way. Police said they are consulting with the Dauphin County district attorney's office on the possibility of filing additional charges against other individuals.
