I'm the trombone player for Mingo Fishtrap. I also play with a number of other bands in the Austin area, including BoomBox, the Jazz Pharohs, and Sauce, and occasionally my own quintet. Playing music is the best job in the world. For a few hours a night crowds of people join me and my musical brothers in forgetting our worries and troubles by letting God pass through us in his most influential form: MUSIC. *I've had the good fortune to play with acts such as Erykah Badu, ?uestlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Doyle Bramhall, Jr, Ozomatli, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Scabs, Ephraim OwensSteely Dan's Jeff Baxter, Ivan Neville, Blues Traveler, Bushwick Bill of the Ghetto Boys, Denis DiBlasio, Nat Adderly, Jimmy Knepper, Bill Watrous, Joe Lovano, Bobby Shew, Little Feat, Arturo Sandoval, Tyrone Brown, and many others. *I grew up in the Philly area (Bensalem, to be exact) and moved to Texas to attend the U. of North Texas for music. Good choice in retrospect- college rocked. I joined Mingo in c.'96 and we all moved to Austin, TX around 2000, the ONLY place to really LIVE in Texas.
