Hello from Japan! I have left the beautiful Pacific Northwest behind, and have journeyed across the Pacific to Japan. I am working as an assistant language teacher (ALT) for the JET (Japanese Exchange and Teaching) Program in Toyama-ken. Living and teaching in a tiny mountain village (only 800 people live here!) will be a challenge that I am excited to overcome. I am surrounded by mountains, trees, lakes, Shinto shrines, and Buddhist temples, what more could I want!
