About Me

Formed in late 1995, the Connecticut-based quartet Adva has enjoyed considerable success in the tri-state area and beyond. From their first appearance in 1997 through 2002, the band featured Tony Pellino (singer/guitarist), Chris Densky (drums), Bryan Bigelow (keyboards), and Dan Perrone (bass). Following the independent release of Bring Decay in March 2000, Adva saw an upsurge in popularity, which led them to headlining performances as well as supporting appearances with the likes of Bile and Type O Negative. Bigelow’s departure in the Summer of 2002 led to a brief hiatus, which shortly after succumbed to Adva’s revival.
No strangers to the concept of reinvention, the addition of Ray Zvovushe on guitar in February 2004 took Adva into the heart of melodic metal. A new arsenal of music was well received, quickly landing the band on bills with Fear Factory, Mastodon, and Soulfly.
Adva independently recorded its metal cadence Catharsis soon after; the song quickly climbed to number 13 on soudclick.com’s metal charts. With this newfound momentum and material, Adva has every intention of bringing their intensity to all corners of the globe.
