About Me


-WORK-
Emma is a young Composer/musician based in Dartington College of Arts, Totnes and in the last two years has been working on projects for Short films, Dance and Animation. She has experienced much collaboration within several bands of varying styles, from heavy rock/experimental to Jazz. In these she took on leading organisational roles.
Emma is currently looking for work composing for short films/documentaries/animations, theatre and dance. She would additionally love to be involved in any collaborative art projects.
-CURRENTLY WORKING ON-
Preparation for 4month placement in Sardinia with interdisciplinary arts company 'Carovana' Looking into arts and the environment and arts for sustainable development to be explored through workshops, performance, documentation and research.

-HISTORY-
Emma has lived in has lived in Cornwall all her life up until September and picked up music at an early age. She started playing the recorder at 5 and was also a member of the school choir. Her main musical influence was her uncle and at 10 she was inspired to take up the guitar. As a self taught guitarist she started to perform in her local pub in her early teens and this was also when she joined CYMAZ and lead by Phil Innes, recorded her first cover track with friend, Sarah.
Emma chose not to study music throughout secondary school but instead searched out her own tutor and studied Music Theory. She then went on to study Music and Music performance at Truro College and is now studying Composition at Dartington College of Arts.
