About Me

Okay, so I started really going after my music in '99 by moving to California from Alaska and working with other aspiring musicians- none of whom you've heard of yet, but we're working on that. We performed around the Bay Area, did endless work in the studio, sold some CDs, made some pocket change, and now we're all over the map pursuing our musical ventures on our own. After seven years and three albums worth of my own material, I've moved back to Barrow to continue working on projects and save some money, so please listen to the new stuff and let me know what you think. -GageAnd now . . . the built-in advertisement that won't go away.
I created my own profile using nUCLEArcENTURy.COM and you should too!

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: none, yet.
Band Members: Me, Shotgun over here.
Influences: Ahmir Thompson for sure, The Roots, Talib Kweli(the man, the movement), Mos Def(styles for miles), Blackalicious(one of the best), Tribe Called Quest(the classic), true Alaskan hip-hop, Musiq Soulchild(soooo underrated), The Decemberists(wierd, yet good), Paul Simon(again weird, yet good), Billy Joel(the master), Stevie Wonder(the visionary, and that's not a joke), Erykah Badu(peace), Bill Withers, Seals & Crofts, so many hippie folk bands from the 60s and 70s (love is ALWAYS the answer with these people, gosh), Bill Cosby's genius, the Smothers Brothers' underrated genius, Chris Rock, Bill Hicks (dead, yet still unstoppable), and the Cafecito Collective; you know who you are.
Sounds Like: An ambitious youth with no sense of direction, a hopeful peace-lover with delusions of grandeur; and if not a man with a soul, then a man with just plain soul will have to suffice for you, the listener.

My Blog

I talk too friggin' much.

After much speculation, I realized that I might be a wiser man if I just shut my mouth and waited until I actually had something intelligent to say on these things.  We'l...
