Richard Brincklow is an accomplished musician and composer with a growing list of broadcast credits and a long history of working in the music industry. After a fair whack of time touring the world Richard changed career path and went to study composition, graduating with first class honours in composition for professional media from Brighton University. He has worked on numerous documentaries, dramas, and short films, broadcast on Channel 4, BBC2, BBC4 and ITV1. Most recently he collaborated with Andrew Phillips on the BAFTA award winning drama Consenting Adults, starring Charles Dance, numerous series of documentaries including Life Proof TV, Welcome to my World and Crisis at the Castle, and a documentary on racing driver Lewis Hamilton, Chasing the Dream. A combination of academic research and a lifetime of playing in all kinds of bands has given Richard a wealth of experience, from a wide knowlege of the studio and modern production, to working with all kinds of musicians and writers. In the late nineties he played and wrote the cinematic instrumentals for the Polydor signed band Medal, who shared management with Radiohead. He also has his own band John the Savage a maverick mix of modern classical, electronica and a sprinkling of post rock and jazz. This eclectic approach is something that Richard also brings to his music for Film and Television. His work sees him writing in all manner of genres from dance music to classical to thrash metal. Sometimes these lines blur to create something truly distinctive with Richards emotional twist ever present to bring the most out of whatever he's working on.
