About Me

MOPOMOSO stands for MOdernism POst MOdernism SO what? and was coined to indicate a dissatisfaction with the perceived way critical debates at the time were more concerned with what happened before and not with what happens now. It was founded in 1991 by two musicians, John Russell (guitar) and Chris Burn (piano, trumpet, composition) with the intention to promote and encourage the understanding and enjoyment of freely improvised music. Since then we have promoted over 200 concerts with a number of special events and workshops featuring some of the leading practitioners in this field, making connections with interested parties on a local, regional, national and international level. The Mopomoso team are:- John Russell (founder) Chris Burn (founder) Ashley Wales (sound and lights) George Coote (box office) Michael Lorek (web design) Helen Petts (video and fund raising) Chris Cooper (video) Paul Martin (video)Get MySpace Layouts from nUCLEArcENTURy .COM OR create your own using MySpace profile editor !!!
