About Me

Chara Love released her first album "Core" on April 21st 2006. The record label that is backing Chara Love is a newly formed record label called Illegible Records,based in Lansing Michigan. "It was a real test for me to record this album," says Chara Love. " I really never thought I would take music and do anything with it because I was afraid of failing, then one day I decided I need to try or I will never know." Chara is now studying Music at Olivet College where she hopes to get her degree in Music. "I am learning how to do all the things I hear with music in my head, and bring them to life. I played all the music on my album by ear, now I am learning the language of music." Chara has a full schedule with school and works part time as a dj at Olivet College at WOCR 89.7 FM. In the middle of all that she has time to get out and play gigs. " I have to keep playing this is my life and my passion." Chara Love has a style that has been compared to the Indigo Girls with a hint of Joni Mitchell. Chara will tell you she doesn’t sound like anyone else.
"For me to not pursue something in music would just be wrong. Does that make sense?" she asks. "I take it one day at a time."
