I am a writer now living in the middle of Pennsylvania after eight years in New York. I wrote a novel about a trapeze girl,
Rain Village , that was published in fall 2006. My second novel,
Godmother, about the fairy godmother from the Cinderella story, will be published by Three Rivers Press in the U.S. and Headline in the U.K. in March 2009. It has also been optioned for film by Random House Films/Focus Features. I take accordion and bellydance lessons, and study dark room photography. I want everything to be gorgeous and glamorous. I like intensity. I like road trips. When I am very rich I will live in New York City and in rural Pennsylvania and spend half the year just driving around. I am extremely dorky. I hate Phil Collins and aspire to knit. I would like to retire in Las Vegas and play video poker every day. Some day, I will garden.
