Biography Bryan Johnson (born September 10, 1985) better known by his stage name, B-Banga, is an up-and-coming music producer from Columbus, Ohio. He came to fame following his production credits for " Touch It or Not" and " Triple Up" off Rapper Camron’s April 2006 album “Killa Seasonâ€. With a seldom-sampled production style, B-Banga has also produced tracks for artists such as: Juelz Santana, Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, Murder Incs Cadillac Tah and Black Child, Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker & made the track list for many Dipset Mixtapes. He is also due credit for produced tracks on many commercial albums including: Funk Master Flex’s 2005 “Car Show Tour†compalation CD track “In the Line of Fire†featuring Hell Rell and JR Writer,Gucci Manes 2007 LP “Back to the Trap House†track "What I'm Talkin Bout" and the single “Badside†for the highly anticipated upcoming album “I Cant Feel My face†from Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne… just to name a few.
The Ohio bred producer found himself musically inclined, at the age of 12 teaching himself how to produce and compose his own beats. Johnson’s influences range from Mannie Fresh, Dr. Dre, and Just Blaze. Not to mention Quincy Jones, Danny Elfman & Beethoven whom he credits as his earliest influences. Guaranteed with one listen, you will agree that B-Banga is spawned from a generation of greats.
At age 19 his beats caught the ear of Chubbie Baby, a Dipset affiliated neighborhood rapper. After listening to his eclectic production styling cabilities, an impressed Chubbie quickly joined forces with the young producer. Along with Ohio heavy weight promoter James “Headake†Dawson in late 2004 Johnson formed HeadBangaz Cartel and they continued their venture for music success. In 2007 B-Banga produced the track “Oh Yeah†which features Chubbie Baby, Juelz Santana & Lil Wayne. The records success earned fans throughout the South and Midwest and continues to gain momentum.
Often cited as an early highlight of his career, “Suck it or Not†gained B-Banga significant recognition, peaking at &035;1 on the Billboard Hip Hop singles chart. Managed By Ivy Leage Entertainment were he doubles as Assistant Vice President, needless to say Johnson has his hands in this business. Wether its working with his newest protégé underground rap artist Hodgie Street, producing a collection of industry worthy tacks such as “Rain Dropsâ€, â€Shoot Back†and “Get it Onâ€, his work with HeadBangaz Cartel, campaigning with BreakBread Entertainment or his duties at Ivy League he continues his quest for an empire built on good music. His industry buzz has made him a highly sought after entity among artist of all calibers. B-Banga is unique in his ability to craft music for listeners of any genre and is giving today’s top producers a run for their money.
