About Me


Je suis né le 05 juin 1979 à Monaco. J’ai débuté la guitare à l’âge de 16 ans en janvier 1996 sous l’influence de Yngwie Malmsteen, Greg Howe et des premiers albums de Megadeth.
Je suis autodidacte et j’ai toujours privilégié la composition à la reprise car j’ai toujours perçu ma musique comme une part du reflet de ma personnalité et de mon état, mon ressenti.
Ma 1ère expérience en groupe remonte à l’été 1997 date à laquelle j’ai monté un groupe de Heavy Métal avec un ami batteur. Nous avons enregistré une démo 4 titres et le groupe splitta peu de temps après.
Durant l’été 1999 je rejoignis un groupe de black métal mélodique appelé DARK MOON où je pris dans un premier temps le poste de bassiste. Peu de temps après le 2nd guitariste fut remercié car il se trouvait trop limité techniquement pour les nouvelles ambitions du groupe et on me proposa d’occuper le poste de guitariste fraîchement vacant …
En 1999 je montais également un projet « one man band » de Death metal appelé Nécrophage avec lequel j’ai enregistré deux démos ( une en 1999 et une en 2001 ) ainsi qu’un album en 2002. Je mis un terme au projet Nécrophage en 2004 pour me concentrer davantage à la guitare instrumentale, style pour lequel j’avais de plus en plus d’intérêt.
Cet intérêt pour la guitare instrumentale naquit en 2000 période durant laquelle je découvris le Jazz Fusion et fut stupéfait par le jeu de guitariste comme Allan Holdsworth et Frank Gambale. Dès lors je décidais d’apprendre les rouages et techniques de compositions propres au Jazz Fusion.
DARK MOON splitta en septembre 2001 et de ces cendres naquit un projet de speed métal à tendance thrash avec l’autre guitariste et moi-même aux commandes.
Ce projet de speed thrash restera sans nom et n’enregistrera aucune démo ou album officiel jusqu’au Split en 2004 en raison de très nombreux problèmes pour trouver un batteur permanent et répondant au niveau technique requis dans ce style.
Depuis le Split de 2004 et jusqu’en 2007 je concentrais tout mon intérêt pour mon projet solo de guitare instrumental.
Le projet s’appelle EXCALIBUR et j’ai enregistré une démo 8 titres appelée « Beyond Consciousness » en 2006.
Durant l’été 2007 le besoin de remonter un groupe complet mixant des éléments de musique classique de métal progressif et de mélodies Epiques s’est fait de plus en plus pressant.
En octobre 2007 avec un ami d’enfance pianiste (de formation classique) ce qui n’était alors qu’un projet pris naissance et les premières compositions furent "mis en chantier".
En avril 2008 Nymphadora rejoignit le groupe en tant que chanteuse heavy. Le groupe pris alors le nom de Black Knight Symfonia.
En Juin 2008 Arya intégra le groupe en tant que chanteuse lyrique.
Malheureuement Julien (Siegfried) quitta le groupe en Juillet préférant se concentrer sur sa vie sentimentale.
J'ai immédiatement décidé de m'occuper également des parties de claviers comme j'avais déjà joué de cet instrument il y a quelques années de cela.
Après un long procésus de composition, le groupe décida d'aller enregistrer au réputé Harkam Studio.
Nous avons d'abord enregistré une démo studio puis nous avons fait appel aux services d'un batteur studio pour enregistrer la batterie. Nous nous sommes également appliqués à optenir des orchestration au son le plus épique possible !
L'enregistrement de notre 1er album c'est terminé à la fin Novembre. Nous recherchons dorénavant à signer un contrat avec un label qui disposera de moyens de diffusion de l'album à l'échelle mondiale.

ENGLISH VERSION
I was born on the 5th of June 1979 in Monaco, I started playing guitar in January 1996 when I was 16 years old . I am a self-taught guitarist and I was first influenced by Yngwie Malmsteen, Greg Howe and by the early records of Megadeth.
In summer1997 I formed a heavy metal band and made a four-track demo. Unfortunately the band split shortly after the demo.
On July 1999 I joined a melodic black metal band called Dark Moon as a bass player but quickly got the 2nd guitar role and I also created my death metal one man band project called Necrophage.
In early 2000 I got more and more interested in Jazz Fusion and I was really impressed by Allan Holdsworth’s and Frank Gambale’s technique so I decided to learn how to compose and play Fusion properly on my guitar.With my Death metal project Necrophage I released two demos ( the first one in 1999 and the second one in 2001 and a full length CD in 2002. I decided to stop this project in 2004 because I was more and more focused on instrumental guitar and Jazz-fusion.
On September 2001 Dark Moon split and with the other guitarist we decided to make a new band mixing elements of thrash metal and speed metal. We played together in this band until summer 2004 but we didn’t record any official album, because we had lots of difficulties to find a technical and permanent drummer.
Between summer 2004 and 2007 I only focused and my instrumental guitar project and made a first Demo called Beyond Consciousness ( released in early 2006 )
During the summer 2007 I felt that it was time for me to play again in a new and complete band that would mix classical, progressive metal and Epical melodies!
So in October 2007 I got a classical pianist childhood friend involved in this project and from that day we start composing some dark and epic tunes and we started to search for the right female singer.
In April we welcomed Nymphadora as our Heavy singer and in June we found Arya our Operatical singer.
Black Knight Symfonia was born !
Unfortunaltly Julien (Siegfried) had to leave the band to focus on his relationship so i decided to play the keyboards too because i already played this instrument many years ago.
After a long and hard period of composing we decided to go to the famous Harkam Studio to record our first album. We first recorded a studio demo and than we recorded the album with the help of a studio drummer to play the drum parts and we focused also on the orchestral parts because we wanted them to sound as Epic as possible !
We hope to release our first album in 2009 .We are now looking for a contract with a label that will have the capacity to release our album worldwide
