Reading, watching and making movies, making and appreciating art, dancing, music, sleeping, drinking tea, yoga, pilates, butt naked sunbathing, immersing myself in bodies of water(salty, bubbly, hot and cold), playing in trees(big, old, brown, green,rolled) writing, imagining, and contemplating my place in the world.

I love almost anything with Audrey Hepburn(a great humanitarian!) especially My Fair Lady and Breakfast at Tiffany's. I revere Ousmane Sembene. Pedro Almodovar is a real genius. Also I thought these were great if only for the storytelling or cult classic impact: Basquiat, Krush Groove,Beat Street, Breakin', the Matrixes, the Brat Pack flicks, Pulp Fiction, Detroit Motor City, Hollywood Shuffle, I'm Gonna Gitchu Sucka!, Do the Right Thing, Brighton Beach Memoirs, Neverending Story, Last Electric Knight, Breakin', Il Postino, Besieged, City of God, Last Emperor, Lady Sings the Blues, Boogie Nights, Juice, Menace II Society,Boys in the Hood. More recently Farenheit 911, Napolean Dynamite and I Love Huckabees, Thank You For Smoking, An Inconvenient Truth. Little Miss Sunshine,Quinceneara. This list is so arbitrary.

More like authors than books, Ralph Ellison, Chinua Achebe, Langston Hughes, James Baldwin, Zora Neale Hurston, J. California Cooper, Gloria Anzaldua, David Sedaris, Frantz Fanon. Lots of short story compilations like Ancestral House and Modern African Stories. Magazines thick and smart enough to be called books. Trace, ID, Black Book, Cool'eh, Adbusters, Colors. Forbes, Inc, and Fast Company for insights into world domination
