I'm a music education major at UNC-Wilmington...graduating in 2008... but I'm one of those non-traditional commuter people.... living in Swansboro, commuting to Wilmington 4-5 days a week. Yes, it's a helluva drive.
I'm a outgoing, straight forward person, easygoing and laidback, and ridiculously loyal to friends and family; I'd do anything for them.
One of my favorite quotes is "Get busy living, or get busy dying," from The Shawshank Redemption.
Rnadom things for you to know:
I hate it when food on my plate touches different food on my plate.
I have a phobia of pantylines.
I don't drive, or play piano or timpani with shoes on.
I have lots of shoes.
I think McDonalds is evil.
...but Wendys and Taco Bell are heaven-sent.
I'm in love with John Cusack, Stephen Colbert, and Jon Stewart.
I eat ice cream with a fork.
I belt out the lyrics to musicals in my car.
I don't say "y'all."
I'm beyond addicted to caffeine.
I LIVE for spicy food. I add jalapenos to most anything.
I hate white socks and refuse to wear them.
I looooooooooooooove Christmas, and I countdown the days to it. I begin celebrating Christmas season on November 1st...on a late year.
I love wine. cheap wine, expensive wine, whatever...I'm not picky. I prefer red wine, but I like white too.
I am anal retentive about organization but can't keep my room clean.
I think Wal-mart is an evil bastard corporation.
I'm a registered Democrat, and more than that, I'm a very liberal Democrat.
I believe that Eric Whitacre is a musical genius.
I have more music-related scars than sports-related scars.
I think that people who don't LOVE Broadway have clearly never listened to the modern stuff that anyone can enjoy, and I'd be glad to introduce people to it. Who can listen to songs from Avenue Q without laughing their heads off?!
I think that Miracle Whip kills brain cells.
I have the most eclectic collection of music ever.
I can smell white trash from a mile away.
I know that the best thing about Thanksgiving is the leftover turkey, which is best in a sandwich with mayo and pepper.
I make lists for everything.

My Interests

Anyway, I enjoy cooking, singing karaoke, hanging with friends and doing anything from just sitting around talking to going out and being stupid, i love going to the beach or going on road trips, kayaking, riding on bike trails, white water rafting, hiking, travelling!, riding rollercoasters, I love watching Cardinals baseball and Duke basketball, and have just recently started getting into college football. I love movies and all random arts and crafts...I'm a dork... and I knit and read too. Anything else, just ask me.

I'd like to meet:

I'd enjoy talking to most anyone... but ummm... basically if you only have porn stars on your "top friends", don't bother adding me... b/c that's lame. ...get some actual friends.
if you're messaging me to say "you're cute" or "you're hot" ...well thanks, a girl always enjoys a compliment... but I'm not looking for more than friendship right now... I have a good thing going, so if you're looking for a girlfriend, I'm sorry... that's not going to be me.
If you're adding me to build your friends list, no. If you're adding me because you're trying to sell something, no.
:-P other than that... I love to chat. As far as celebrities go? it'd be amazing to meet Will Ferrell, Dave Chappelle, John Cusack, Scarlett Johansson, Dane Cook, Ryan Reynolds, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Natalie Portman... and any musicians who have talent (funny enough, that does exclude most pop stars...lol) ...as far as a quality that is absolutely essential: honesty. never overrated...i don't deal with liars. you lie, you're cut off. life's too short to deal with that.

I listen to pretty much anything, my music collection is ridiculously extensive, I love going to live performances of pretty much anything: local bands, jazz, opera, musicals, popular bands... most recently, I've been to see Mozart's Don Giovanni in Raleigh, Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats in Fayetteville, Panic! At the Disco (with Jack's Mennequin) in Charlotte, and Barenaked Ladies (with leigh Nash and Sister Hazel) in Norfolk, VA. Coming up: The Feeling in April, Charlotte, NC.

RENT, Little Miss Sunshine, An Inconvenient Truth, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, The Godfather parts I and II, American Pie 2, Lost In Translation, ANCHORMAN, clerks and Clerks 2, dead poets society, dodgeball, elf, kill bill 1 and 2, mr. holland's opus, school of rock, and 10 things i hate about you, pretty much. My favorite actors are John Cusack, Will Ferrell, and Scarlett Johansson, and natalie Portman. I'd watch anything with them in it, crap or not.
