ABOUT yA GiRL JASMiNE V Entertainment entrepreneur and super-producer, Damon Dash, has found his next breakout music chart-topper—this time in the most unlikely of places, twelve-year-old pop-sensation Jasmine Villegas. Based in Los Angeles at the heart of the music scene, Jasmine’s defined sound has been compared to such celebrated songstresses as Alicia Keyes and Whitney Houston. This California girl shows off her mature soulful tone on her new debut album, “Anything’s Possible” and showcases her range and sweet, playful personality on original tracks that include “Hot Like Fire,” “I’ll Be Around” and “Think Big.” Having never taken a voice lesson, Jasmine’s natural vocal flair will only blossom as she is molded under Dash’s ever-watchful care. Dash is not shy about singing the praises of his new shining star. “I only want to affiliate myself with people that will make history… I truly believe in my heart, Jasmine Villegas will make history,” - Damon Dash. Dash has chosen to venture into the pop music arena with Jasmine, stepping out beyond the borders of the hip-hop world where he made his name launching the platinum careers of artists such as Jay-Z, Kanye West and Cam’ron. Jasmine began touring at the age of eleven and has been seen and heard singing the National Anthem at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Clippers on more than one occasion, The Los Angeles Lakers, the Anaheim Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Kings and the Winky Wright vs Jermain Taylor, Paul Williams vs Antonio Margarito Boxing Mega fight. She was also a featured soloist at the Motown Legends in Concert with Barrington Henderson from the Temptations and Brenda Holloway of the Supremes. This spring fans came out to see her at the 93.5 K-Day high school tour and the 105.9 Power 106 high school basketball tour covering over 55 schools in the Los Angeles area. She is partnering up with LA’s Best, a non-profit after school program to perform at 100 elementary schools in the Los Angeles Area. The elementary school tour will start in November of 2006. Her youthful ambition and undeniable talent have taken Jasmine into other creative arenas. She has been featured in print advertisements for Target National, Mary Kate and Ashley, American Girl, Levi’s, Hilary Duff, Robinsons May, Macys, Mervyns, Girl Scouts, Sparklets Drinking Water, MTA Transportation as well as principal roles in television commercials for Chevrolet, The Dog, Kellogs, Zellers, Marshalls, and McDonald’s. Jasmine has also made guest starring appearances on Disney’s “That’s So Raven,” Touchstone Pictures’ “My Wife and Kids” starring Damon Wayans, and she has also gone on to become Ms. Hawaiian Tropic and Ms. Royal Essence. She has recently finished shooting a pilot for a Disney sitcom “House Broken”, a spin-off of Disney’s The Suite Life of Zach and Cody, starring Brian Stepanek. She also has a reoccurring role on the ABC’s primetime show “The Nine”, and a guest role on the television series “Threat Matrix”. She has also been featured in Kanye West’s music video “ Jesus Walks” and Frankie J. ‘s “How To Deal”.
