I was lost in the world of fashion. Styling well known and up and coming celebrities in NYC. Born in the forgotten borough of Staten Island, N.Y. Homegirl of Mariners Harbor Projects 139 Brabant street then to 74 Roxbury. Looking at the railroad tracks form my bedroom window. BLock parties in the Big Park! Late Fridays at a house party or hanging out afterschool at the "Center". Growing up inthe "Harbor" was a true NY experience especially for a writer. I liked watching people. Everyday people. I started to write about what I saw, the people, places and feelings. As I grew older I got my foot in the entertainment industry through fashion the longer I did it the more comfortable I became in that niche and fear stopped me from pursuing my true love: Singing and acting. An injection of courage came in the form of Motherhood also thru the love of a good man, it's true. I thought that it wouldn't be a good idea to teach my daughter that she could do whatever she wanted unless I was doing what I wanted! So I started to write and sing and act. Now heree in the B-Lo working and promoting meeting more artists and everyday learning. I got the music in ME! Squeezing time in for art while taking care of children, home and husband is a formidable task but others have done it before me and quite successfully so I just kept telling myself that one day it will all fall into place but in the mean time I have to be ready when somebody anybody comes up to me and asks what do you do? And I say I'm a performing artist and they say I'd like to hear/see what you're working on. I have to have product. Right? These songs that you can listen to are a sample of two different cd's I'm working on with my nephew producer DJ REazon here in the B-Lo The two Grandma Said and I'm Still Workin are from the Mama Songs CD and poetry love-song piece . I'm still getting my act together and I hope you like what I'm doing and where I'm taking things.
