About Me

This site arose from a cooperation between Magic Dragon Music (eBay shop) and some artists and bands and supports independent music. It shall provide an insight into the music of not so well known brilliant bands and musicians, promote them and their releases and make their music more popular to a broader audience by listening to our "music box".

Magic Dragon Music is specialised in selected and outstanding releases in progressive rock, folk rock and Celtic music and stands in direct contact with the presented musicians.

Magic Dragon Music solidarises with the campaign of "Prog against Pirates" against illegal music downloads, as these threaten the existence of great artists and bands.
Our music box contains compilations or whole tracks of the following artists and releases:

Three Peace Sweet: sensational and great folk rock from Scotland
The stunning albums of this 7 piece band from the Orkney Islands enthuse all friends of first class Celtic folk rock. Together with Runrig and Wolfstone they are the best folk rock band and as good as these in their best times.

Three Peace Sweet - Lightning Touches
Brilliant debut album from 1999 and a real enrichment for the Scottish folk rock scene, with a simply ingenious cover version of U2’s "I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For".

Three Peace Sweet - Generations
Splendid second album from 2001 with a very successful extension of their repertoire: very melodic, lively and versatile folk rock, performed with great musicianship and joy of playing - a firework of great ideas, melodies, rhythms and diversity.

Three Peace Sweet - Blue Skies
Stunning third album from 2005 and one of the best folk rock CDs of the last years. The repertoire spans from emotional ballads via rocky traditionals to dynamic Celtic rock titles, including "The Mission Hall", one of the best folk rock hymns of all times.

Gavin O'Loghlen & Cotters Bequest - Land of the vast horizon
Fantastic and unique mixture of folk rock, progressive and symphonic elements with a superb production and sound quality and probably the best Celtic album of all times

Colin Mold - new star in the British prog rock scene
Fantastic conceptual album "Water of Divinity", definitely one of the progressive rock highlights of 2007 - magnificently produced and performed, very melodic and with excellent guitars which remind of Andy Latimer (Camel) and Paul Davies (Karnataka)
Kara – Kara
Promising debut album of the new English band in the musical spectrum between Iona, Karnataka, early Mostly Autumn and Camel, with excellent guitar work from Colin Mold
