All for Fun, and Fun for All!

About Me

What can I say that those who know me well don't already know? I'm just a student of the world, on a quest for that elusive wisdom. Everyone can gain knowledge, but putting that knowledge to use is wisdom. I seek postivity in everything, friends, family, acquaintances, even strangers. I'm an easy going guy, and to my friends, a dork. I love to make others laugh, and bring a smile to their faces. I'm pretty shy and quiet, unless you're my friend and know better. I'm up for new experiences, but seek comfort in the familiar. I'm a paradox of a person, neither this nor that. I'm complex in my simplicity and simple in my complexity. I'm pretty smart, but at times, as my girlfriend would say, and my friends know all too well, I'm "platinum blond." I'm the most reliable slacker anyone knows.

My Interests

Just your typical geek who likes to game, video and otherwise. I read manga and watch anime, but who doesn't? My latest and greatest new hobby is my new son, Aiden Qwynn Travis Delamar-Viste. I'll hafta wait for him to grow up to be able to watch more anime and play video games with me and Velvet.

I'd like to meet:

I'm always willing to meet new people. I welcome new perspectives and ideas. I enjoy intelligent conversations, or just conversations that lead to no particular place. I'm trying to get in touch with those I haven't talked to in awhile, resurrect old friendships as it were. And to those I'm still in touch with, just trying to stay that way.

Music:

I listen to just about everything. The only key exceptions being country and Christian music. I enjoy going to shows, especially J-Rock. I listen to Alternative music the most, but don't mind something mellow.

Movies:

I enjoy the Big Hit, ('Cause I have nothing but love for you, Bay-bee! *muah* *muah*) Ryan Reynolds' movies (Van Wilder, Just Friends,...) and Johhny Depp movies. I usually go see a new movie every month or so, so if there's something good playing, I'll probably be there.

Television:

Now that I have more time to watch Television, I watch House. I always try to make time for the Simpsons and Family Guy. I also can't resist Swim. Other than that, mostly Discovery Channel and National Geographic.

Books:

I admit that I don't do much reading outside of manga. I really need to get back into it. Anyone have any good suggestions? Also, if any of you know of any good children's books, let me know. I'm not sure how reading Edgar Allen Poe to him is gonna affect him. *crosses fingers*

Heroes:

Heroes? Is that anything like idols? I guess mine would have to be Johnny Depp. Rich, suave, talented, magnet, and he could care less what others think of him. Truly a hero to me.

I really don't write much, do I?

Seems that is has been more than a year since I've put up a blog. Do I really think that my life is so uneventful that I do not post anything here? Or is it that I don't think anyone will read it...

When I put pen to paper, I put my soul into the ink...

Been quite a while since I've written anything here. Due to events that have taken place over the last week, I'm not sure I ever want to write letters, poems, journal entries, etc. At least not on p...

Water Droplets and Tears...

As "Depress Mode" sinks in every now and then, I've found myself taking more and more baths. Something about submerging yourself in water seems very therapeutic. However, as I sit in the tub staring...

Who's Holding Up Whom?

You know, what hurt's more than a lost relationship/love is being around someone that's in the same position as you. I mean, I don't hate it, it's just hard to see who's helping whom. Or is it that ...

So, emphsis on SO, many things have happened in the past 2 weeks. Some good, many bad, and a couple just... decisions (or events). If life is an open sea, and I am a boat on it, then the past 2 wee...
