.. (Danny Gillispie)In the mid-70's, I saw this guy painted like a cat and playing the drums (Peter Criss from KISS). That is when I knew I wanted to play drums behind a rock-n-roll band.I began beating the daylight out of every box, washtub, and pot I could find. Some of my fondest memories are of the KISS concerts my brother, Dwain, and I would put on in the bedroom we shared. Dwain was, of course, Gene Simmons.I cut my teeth on drumming influences such as Peter Criss - KISS, Alex VanHalen - VANHALEN, John Bonham - LED ZEPPELIN, Steve Smith - JOURNEY, Roger Fisher - HEART, Myron Grombacher - PAT BENATAR, and many others.It's a rush to be able to play drums in front of the loyal fan base LED has acquired. I still feel like my brother and I are putting on KISS concerts in our bedroom! Thank you, LED fans!(Dwain Gillispie)I was born and raised in Brandywine, W.V. by my parents, David and the late Donna Gillispie. I now live in Broadway, Va with my wife, Olivia, son, Chantz, and step-daughter, Whitney.I started playing bass a long time ago in my bedroom. I remember my first "bass" was a tennis racket! My brother, Danny, and I would have concerts in that tiny bedroom. We would always pretend to be KISS, and I was the one and only Gene Simmons. All we ever dreamed of when we were children was having our own band. I continued playing with several other bands, but I have never played music with anyone as talented as Mike, Dwain, and Danny. I would like to give a special thanks to them for letting me play music with them. I would also like to thank my grandparents, Gloria and Arnice Cleaver for buying my first guitar. Thanks, guys!(Mike Eye)Mike Eye of Brandywine, W.V. is the lead singer/rhythm guitarist for LED.Mike graduated from Franklin High School in 1997. He is currently employeed by R.R. Donnelley and Sons in Harrisonburg, Va.Mike began singing at family gatherings when he was young. At the age of eight, Mike began playing drums. This continued through high school, as he was a member of the Franklin High School Marching and Concert bands. When Mike was 14, he began playing the guitar. He joined a band at age 15 and continued playing with that band until LED was formed in 2003.Many family members have musically influenced Mike. His grandfather played Bluegrass music and was a well-known dobro player in Pendleton County. Mike's Uncle Mike is a very talented banjo player. As a result of these influences, Mike has taught himself how to play the banjo, dobro, and mandolin. He also plays the bass guitar and other instruments.Mike and his wife, Erin, reside in Brandywine, W.V.(Charlie Hammer)Charlie is the newest member of LED. He recently moved back to WV from Boston, Massachusetts where he owned a construction business. Charlie currently works for Comcast Cable.Charlie began playing the trumpet when he was in 6th grade. When he went to middle school, he met Mike. As Charlie and Mike became good friends, they both realized music was a shared interest. Charlie also played in a band until he moved to Boston in 2000.Charlie and his girlfriend, Sarah, live in Brandywine.(Rick Eye)Rick is the sound man for L.E.D. He has helped the band since it formed in 2003.Rick graduated from Franklin High School in 1997. He was the manager for the Franklin High School band. Rick is employeed by R.R. Donnelley & Sons in Harrisonburg, Va.In May 2005, Rick married Shana Johnson.
