So here we are. Possibly maybe our story is like most everyone's except to say that me and kalin have known each other forever but in a cloak of serendipity. I think this became a reality last summer when I was in California after yet another failed attempt at being in a band in my post-fassw days. Kalin had messaged me and explained he put up a song for me to check out. I was huffing Huntington Beach air and trying to drift away, licking my wounds so to speak. BUT Kalin's music spoke to me. It was 4 a.m. and I just snuck into Evan's place after a long night out with a friend. Yeah...I wept. Fast forward to Chicago later that year and Kalin had done it again. He sent me a simple guitar song that somehow found the very veins in my skin and injected me with a sense of...transitional sorrow. I think he knew what i was going through at the time. Even before this, right after I left fassw and went to live with my ex-girlfriend, his early attempts at writing music became a kind of gospel. The play button on his myspace page became rosary beads to touch and recite similar afflictions. And now years later, we decided to make a tangible body of songs. We are not sure if anyone can possibly connect to the shredded silver cords dangling from each melody but...possibly maybe? We hope maybe each of you want to start new, at the beginning, ready to move past the past. We are nice and broken too, so please share your heart of hearts and we will do the same. It is a simple gesture, what all music seeks to do perhaps, but our convictions become clear fast: Our lonely planet needs satellites, and we would be grateful if it was you who orbits us.
