‘Cause the music’s always been there.
On Crefi (a belgian youth organisation) as well, where Daxx and Iann first met. Both quite notorious personalities, with a similar history of leaving nothing but broken hearts. Pursued by a reputation, knowing each others name, but not able to link a face with it.
Until that one day. The start of a memorable time, ending in finetuning the definition of ‘Dream Team’.
Daxx, already VJ’ing for 4 years, became a semi-professional VJ since 2006 with 5ifth Dimension, a belgian VJ collective.
He’s got the skills, the feel and the knowhow to produce and adapt the most simple images to the most astonishing live results.
Daxx is known for his realistic, tempo-driven, urban VJ’ing-style. In Quartier Rouge’s live performances, Daxx’ visuals bring an extra dimension, what make our shows unforgettable.
Iann is the music.
He gets up with it, goes to bed with it, makes love to it and breathes it.
Already making music since the age of 8, he is now studying professional music producer at the conservatory of Ghent, and aims high goals. Ambitious and talented, he’s always looking for new challenges and in Quartier Rouge, he has found a ventilation shaft for a musical part he didn’t knew he had.
Iann copes with almost every style, and one can hear. Not really defined, but not undefined either, with his influences not far away.
Only busy since Januari 2008, the working tempo is high and the pressure never low, while only delivering quality.
Following both great national and international examples like Vive La Fête, Soulwax and Daft Punk, Daxx and Iann try to synthesize their love for electronic music and rock and in the studio.
They like to fool around and mash up everything they know, to get that one perfect sound.
