Ronnie and his twangin..little fellow has been founded by Antti and Sami in the beginning of 1995. We met by accident in Lahti City, when Sami was on the way to sell his guitar amplifier. After a short conversation we decided to meet and test the amplifier in Sami’s train room. I was not going to buy it because of my financial position, but of course didn’t tell that to Sami. In the same evening after a little while testing the amplifier we realized that we both are interesting in surf music.We both wanted to make instrumental music by a little…… harder way. In the same time we talked about some songs, bands (own interest in Link Wray..s music came out often) and who could/want play the music with us. One drummer name (Kalle Kotiranta) was remembered and next day we trained. At first we had organ, guitar and drums. After some time and different bassplayers the composition was settled and we had a young bassplayer Matti Virtanen. By this composition we made some recordings, gigs and shocked people for example at some instrumental festivals…. But anyway be aware, Ronnie’s story continues……………...
