If God can accomplish His purposes in this world through a broken heart, then why not thank Him for

About Me

No matter who you are, or where we are from, I am always ready to listen...always...so feel free, my ears are inclined to hear. I will always try and get back with you, so don't worry if I am not online ;).I really dont know what to say here, never really have been good at talking about myself...but buckle up, here we go!I've lived in a small town all my life, but I have traveled a couple of places far away. Europe and South America mainly.I graduated top 3 of my class, and am going to FGCU in the fall for Civil Engineering.I don't have any enemies as far as I know, and if I do, sorry for that. It's been said of me several times that what ever I put my mind to I can succeed in, but we will see ;).I love music and can't hardly get enough of it. I play bass in a band and am hoping to be able to play acoustic somewhat bearably soon.I also like to write, if you havent figured that out, but its always a work in progress.
All God's revelations are sealed to us until they are opened to us by obedience. You will never get them open by philosophy or thinking. Immediately you obey, a flash of light comes. Let God's truth work in you by soaking in it, not by worrying into it. Obey God in the thing He is at present showing you, and instantly the next thing is opened up. We read tomes on the work of the Holy Spirit when... five minutes of drastic obedience would make things clear as a sunbeam. We say, "I suppose I shall understand these things some day." You can understand them now: it is not study that does it, but obedience. The tiniest fragment of obedience, and heaven opens up and the profoundest truths of God are yours straight away. God will never reveal more truth about Himself till you obey what you know already. Beware of being wise and prudent.

My Interests

"...when we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we edure; when we are slandered, we respond kindly."1 Corinthians 4:12, 13

The tragedy of life and of the world is not that men do not know God; the tragedy is that, knowing Him, they still insist on going their own way. William Barclay

I'd like to meet:

For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?2 Corinthians 2:15-16

Children have never been good at listening to their teachers and elders, but they have never failed to imitate them.

Music:

I have held many things in my hand, and I have lost them all; but whatever I have placed in God's hands, that I still posses. Martin Luther

Each generation is a secret society, and has incommunicable enthusiasms, tastes and interests which are a mystery to it sucessors and to posterity. John Jay Chapman

Movies:

Everyone who is a child of God conquers the world. And this is the victory that conquers the world---our faith. 1 John 5:4

The greatest proof of Christianity for others is not how far a man can logically analyze his reasons for believing, but how far in practice he will stake his life on his belief. T. S. Eliot

Television:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8

Man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that he somtimes has to eat them. Adlai Stevenson

Books:

Love isn't something you can give half-heartedly. You either love or you don't, there is no in between.

Faith is often strengthened at the place of disappointment. Rodney McBride

Heroes:

I saw a picture of my father during his highschool homecoming football game. I do not know what is was that moved me, but in that I saw everything that a man should be, including the few and dying virtues of honesty, integrity, trust, and faithfulness. I want those, I have those, and I will not lose them.

Every noble youth looks back, as to the chiefest joy which this world's honor ever gave him, to the moment when first he saw his father's eyes flash with pride. John Ruskin
