The Winnie Cooper Theory was born in the summer of 2007. Kevin Hogan (Vocals) and Adam “Stimpy†Jones (Bass) had played together in a punk rock band called Hogan Beach. In the summer of 2007, Hogan Beach went into hiatus. Hogan and Stimpy share various musical influences ranging from punk, post-punk, folk, country, etc.
Therefore, the duo decided to start a side project with the foundation being vocals and a bass guitar where they could play in various settings such as coffee bars and other venues. The Winnie Cooper Theory is a story telling band with honest lyrics based upon real life. Since its inception WCT has added drummer to some of our songs ...BROCK from UNDER THE GREEN.
Since the winter of 2007 THE WINNIE COOPER THEORY has been recording at Big Door Studios with Mike BBQ at the wheels and Mass Giorgini of Sonic Iguana mastering the songs. FINALLY the 16 song debut CD is finished and should be expected to be released around Summer 2009 if all goes as planned. The band recently contributed a song 'SHMOBOTS' to our dear friend Brian Clarke's new animated book (written by Adam Rifkin).
