Josh Moore, a 23-year-old versatile vocalist from Louisville, Tennessee, has been singing since the age of six from everything from grade school talent shows to a special event for a former president.
He began showing his singing talents at Middlesettlements Elementary when he sang at his school talent show doing his interpretation of “I Will Always Love You†previously done by Whitney Houston. He took a close second place ranking in the event. After this he joined the school choir and continued school choir until his senior year in high school, as well as was in the Pellissippi Community State Community College Advanced Choir.
Since high school Josh has performed song selections for such events as a book-signing for former president Jimmy Carter, singing the National Anthem at the opening of a Tennessee Smokies baseball game, and has appeared on stage with Anita Bryant in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. For the past three years Josh has been performing at the Smoky Mountain Jubilee in Pigeon Forge, TN doing a show that includes classic country, bluegrass, gospel and modern country music. He is the lead singer in the Jubilee Gospel Quartet. Additional accomplishments include competing in a talent event at Big Mama’s Karaoke Café in Seymour, Tennessee, performing on Ed McMahon’s Star Search making it into the semi-finals, and independently making three CDs of cover songs.
Josh’s musical interests include, but are not limited to: Swing, Jazz, New Age, and Big Band. He plays piano and accordion, and is very good at on-spot sheet music reading. Josh wishes to join a label where he can perform a songwriter’s original songs and to add his touch to make themâ€his ownâ€. Whether for work or for fun, Josh’s life is music and it will always be.
