About Me

New Brisbane-based rock four-piece 'The Precursors' punch out infectious, raw tunes with crafty lyrics, cunning riffs and laid-back rock melodies for measure – all wrapped up in tidy tracks that make you move.
The collaboration of three lads who’ve been playing music just about forever, ; Nick Lynagh mans lead guitar; Justin Sykes is on bass; and Chris Chalk beats the drums.
Justin and Chris bring with them their worldly experience of the highs and lies of the rock 'n' roll life while Nick first merged as an acoustic guitar/vocals duo, they decided it was time to step it up a notch or three. Enter the timely birth of The Precursors in late 2007.
The quartet has been busying themselves in the recording studio to date and are now hitting the live scene with their all-original dish of rock.
