My passport says USA, but my heart is in Europe. I'll avoid giving my life story, and just say due to my mixed family background, I spent a great deal of my life abroad especially in Europe. My view of the world around me is much broader, and I'm also multi lingual. "Hometown USA" has just been too dull for me. I just don't fit here. Other societies, cultures, and nations other than my own seem more interesting. It's like an odd case of "grass is greener on the otherside". Actually I felt more comfortable in Europe, or Latin America than I do here in the USA. I've never been able to really adapt and just become the good hometown apple pie, baseball American like my surrounding society expects me to be. Besides a mind that always wanders to other worlds, music is a big part of my life. If I had my way, I'd probably be locked inside my barracks rooms all day with a guitar in my hand, or listening to music. Back in 2007 I enlisted in the US Army and shipped out to basic training. After AIT i was sent to Ft Drum, New York. Now I'm currently serving my tour in Iraq. During my year in Northern New York state I made friends with musicians and fellow punks and metal heads in the local scene. They really made me feel at home, and the concerts were my escape from the Army life on base. Now I'm currently serving my tour in Iraq until I return to rock out in Watertown again at the The Dungeon. My next duty station will be in Europe, so I'm really looking forward to that. It took a good while, but I'm finally getting what I wanted from the Army.
