Me with the band on Friday night at the Brass Mug. Short, but sweet :)
The song in this video has very special meaning to me: it is dedicated to the one who, without knowing, made me believe in fairy tales again. Thank you, my friend. I believe in magic and fairies and dragons and unicorns and vampires and gnomes and purple elephants. I believe in the power of the human mind, body and spirit. I believe that human beings are basically good, but have the ability to become evil if given the right circumstances, so I do everything in my power to combat evil forces in the people I care about.I believe that attitude is the single most important factor in how life treats us. I believe that music is the the water that quenches the thirst of our souls. I believe in love. I believe that every person has something worth loving. I believe in the strength, beauty and grace of a woman. I believe in the power of nature. I believe in hope.I am a positive and upbeat person. I love life, and I love helping others love it, too. I try every day to make the world just a little brighter for at least one person.I am a poet. A singer. A lover of beautiful things. Hedonistic, at times, but always willing to share.I'm a geek. I love all things geek. I love other geeks. I enjoy Medieval times, Ren Faires, but know what century it is.I am not a damsel in distress, I am not sugar and spice, I don't melt in the rain, I don't shy away from a fight. I stand my own ground, I stand up for what is right. I have a very strong affection for Martial Arts.I desire world peace, but realize it doesn't exist at this time, so I am very fond of weaponry, particularly of the Medieval era. "Talk softly and carry a big stick", or in my case, a big blade!!! mmmmm, blade! Every woman should know how to protect herself with her fists, or learn how to wield a sword, strike a deadly blow with a knife, shoot a bow, fire a gun or crack a whip!I love and respect people for who they are, not what gender they are, yet the vast majority of my friends are male.
